Triage pages missing from Google

Use URL Inspection and indexing reports to locate the block; do not request indexing before fixing it.

Use the procedure on a representative sample, keep the evidence, and record the next action.

Check one URL from discovery to indexing

  • Inspect the exact canonical URL in Search Console. Record the reported indexing state and last crawl date.
  • Open the URL without login. Check HTTP status, robots.txt access, meta robots, X-Robots-Tag, and canonical target.
  • Compare rendered content and canonical with the intended page. Fix accidental duplicates, soft errors, or blocked rendering.
  • After deployment, test the live URL again, update the sitemap if needed, then request indexing for a small priority set.
