GEO · visibility in AI answers

Help AI systems know about you and mention you when customers choose a provider

GEO is the work of helping ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Yandex and DeepSeek mention your brand and link to your website when a customer asks “who should I choose?” It is suitable for companies whose buyers compare providers before making first contact: online stores, B2B companies, service providers, finance and healthcare businesses. The goal is to make the shortlist that AI presents instead of ten links and to attract enquiries from a new channel.

Does this sound familiar?

  • Customers say “ChatGPT recommended you,” but AI answers mention your competitors instead.
  • Your Google rankings are fine, but search enquiries are not growing: AI answers now resolve some questions without a visit to your site.
  • AI gets your facts wrong: it shows old terms, the wrong specialism or city, or an inaccurate range of products.
  • You are entering a new market or language and want to be visible where competitors already have a track record.

What the business gets

ResultWhat it includesBasis
A table of AI answers to your customers’ questionswho is mentioned, where the facts come from and what is wrong about your business — before work beginsbaseline measurement
A list of page changeswhat to fix so AI and search can use accurate factsstrategy
A repeat measurementa view of what changed, rather than impressionsour Method

Practical reference: in a marketplace project where GEO ran alongside SEO, the brand’s share of mentions in a test sample of prompts rose from ~12% to 34% (measured by the studio, not an independent audit). Results depend on the niche, website and competition.

Illustrative example

if 10 out of 100 customers choosing a provider ask AI, and one in ten of those contacts you after your brand is mentioned, that is one enquiry out of 100. Use your own numbers: this is a small but growing channel.

AI isn't telepathic. Let's make the facts about your business clearer and easier to verify on your site.

Why this happens

AI systems build answers from pages where facts are clear, supported and accessible to crawlers. If information about you is scattered across the site, contradicts itself, is hidden behind scripts or has no supporting sources, the answer will favour a competitor who has this in order. Google says there are no “secret” requirements for AI Overviews: a page needs to be indexable and contain useful, verifiable material. This is confirmed for Google; other systems have their own rules, so we focus on the common ground: accessible pages and verifiable facts. GEO is about reliable sources, not tricks.

What is included

  1. Baseline: “how AI sees you.” We ask questions your customers ask in several AI systems, in the required languages and markets. You receive a table showing who is mentioned, where the facts come from and where they are wrong. This is the baseline for comparison.
  2. Source-page map. For every important question, we identify the page that should answer it and find gaps. You get a clear picture of what to fix first.
  3. Page improvements. A direct answer up front, verifiable facts and figures, authorship, update dates and links to primary sources. This makes a page easier to cite and more useful in conventional search.
  4. Technical accessibility. We check robots.txt (crawler rules), indexability, whether text is available without JavaScript, and structured data.
  5. External corroboration. We prepare a list of places where brand facts should be aligned: industry directories, profiles, reviews and publications. AI often draws information from these sources.
  6. Repeat measurement and next steps. We compare results with the baseline and provide a prioritized task list for the next period.

How the work proceeds

StageTimingWhat we need from you
Measurement and source mapfirst few weeksa list of key customer questions and access to the site and analytics
Page improvements and technical changesafter plan approvala product expert to confirm facts; a decision on CMS changes
Repeat measurement and reportafter changes are implementedagreement on the next priorities
Growth (monthly plan)every monthupdated facts, new questions and new markets

The first measurement and plan are included in “Strategy”; repeat measurement and improvements are included in “Sprint” and “Promotion and growth.”

AI is already answering your customers. Let's discuss what facts about you it can access.

Case studies

  • Boutique hotel (28 rooms) — SEO, content and GEO alongside a direct-booking website: the share of city-related prompts that mention the hotel rose from ≈8% to ≈29% (studio measurement, not an independent audit); direct bookings rose from 18% to 44%. → Boutique hotel
  • Flower and gift marketplace. Local SEO and GEO together. Brand mentions in a test sample of AI prompts rose from ~12% to 34% (studio measurement). → Local gift marketplace
  • Both projects included SEO; we do not attribute the results to GEO alone.

Similar tasks

Choose based on the task: Strategy if you do not know where to start or how many pages need changes; Sprint if the priority pages are clear and you need results within one project; Promotion and growth if the channel needs to be maintained and expanded each month. If your site is not indexed or has technical problems, start with an SEO diagnostic (Get more customers from search without paying for every click).

Prices are indicative. The final price depends on the project and agreed terms and is confirmed before work begins.

The final price depends on the CMS and source-material readiness, integrations, and the number of target markets and languages.

Licences, paid tools, placements and infrastructure are quoted separately. Accounts and access remain in your name.

What is excluded and what we do not promise

We do not promise citations, rankings, traffic or sales: third-party AI systems choose their own sources and change their answers. We agree on the number of pages, languages and markets before work starts. Large-scale content production, programming and paid placements are priced separately.

Who it is and is not for

Suitable for

companies with a clear product, an in-house expert and a website that can be edited; teams that want an implementation plan rather than a report saying “we were mentioned three times.”

AI is already giving advice. Sometimes without being asked.

FAQ

  • How is GEO different from SEO? SEO competes for a place in the list of links; GEO aims for a mention and citation in the answer itself. The foundation is shared: indexable, clear, supported pages. That is why GEO performs worse on a weak SEO foundation.
  • Can you guarantee that AI will mention us? No. We manage our pages and sources, not the answers produced by other systems. We do guarantee before-and-after measurements and a list of implemented changes.
  • How can we measure results if AI answers vary each time? We use a fixed set of questions, repeat the measurement several times, and calculate the share of answers that mention you and get the facts right; we also check visits from AI in GA4. We assess the trend, not a single answer.
  • How soon will we see an effect? Website changes are visible immediately; AI answers change after the relevant system recrawls and updates its data. We agree on the follow-up measurement date after implementation, taking recrawling into account.
  • What do we need to provide? A product expert, access to the website and analytics, priority markets and confirmation of facts by the business owner.

If AI has made up a story about your business, let's give it verifiable primary sources.
