How to review pre-rendering

Review SSR and pre-rendering, direct URLs, and the HTML actually returned.

Use these steps as a working checklist and adapt them to the project’s evidence, scope, and constraints.

Practical steps

  • Open the URL without running JavaScript and save the original HTML.
  • Check that the response includes a unique title, description, canonical, and main text.
  • Test direct navigation to nested routes and inspect server responses.
  • Compare HTML before and after hydration; look for duplicates and empty states.
  • Repeat the check on a mobile route and after the production build.
