SEO redirect map workshop

Map old URLs to relevant destinations, find duplicate sources and redirect loops in your browser.

Use these steps as a working checklist and adapt them to the project’s evidence, scope, and constraints.

Practical steps

  • Enter one mapping per line as /old-path -> /new-path. Choose a relevant destination; do not send every removed page to the home page.
  • Keep each source URL unique and choose the final page that serves the intended content. Prefer one direct redirect over a chain.
  • Find duplicate sources, self-redirects, malformed URLs, and loops before launch.
  • After deployment, test a sample and record the source URL, final URL, HTTP response, and check date. This browser tool never requests your site.
